The dot-shortcuts

Those are best entered in the text field of the "Search" function.
All those shortcuts are activated by writing the shortcut-sign, followed by a dot (hint: a real point - so tap twice) and then a number:

• 1 - activate debugger (be careful with that one !)
• 3 - disable auto power off
• 4 - show user name
• 6 - show ROM date
• 7 - toggle NiCd / Alkaline battery type
• 8 - enable inverse backlight mode

Disable hotsync timeout

• Start the hotsync application
• Press UP and DOWN together (Palm Tungsten: either one of both)
• Tap in the upper right corner of the screen

Show serial registers (Only palm OS 3)

• Start the hotsync application
• Press UP and DOWN together
• Tap in the lower right corner of the screen
